If a work-related dispute results in two workers fighting, either worker can receive workers’ compensation benefits for the injuries resulting from the fight. This is true even if the injured party is the perpetrator of the fight. There may be a 50% offset for violation of a safety rule, however, and the employer may administer a disciplinary action for fighting in the work place. (Section 8-42-112(1) (b), C.R.S.).
