Previously, whenever a claim has been closed by a final order of the Director, Administrative Law Judge, Previously, Industrial Claim Appeals Panel or appellate court, the insurance carrier was required to file a Final Payment Notice within thirty (30) days of the date of the final order.  This form advised the Division of Worker’s Compensation that the claimant has been paid in accordance with the Order.  Insurance carriers apparently no longer need to file a Final Payment Notice since there is no longer any requirement to do so found in Rule (7) of the Colorado Workers’ Compensation Rules of Procedure.
