A General Admission of Liability is a form filed by the insurance carrier or self-insured employer with the Division of Workers’ Compensation admitting liability for a work-related injury.  The form is also used to show what the employer agrees is the claimant’s average weekly wage and the claimant’s temporary total disability benefit rate.  The form may be called a “Medical Only” General Admission, which means that the insurance carrier admits that an injury occurred and that the claimant needs medical attention, but that they deny that any indemnity benefits are owed.  For an overview of the General Admission of Liability, log on to the Division of Workers’ Compensation website and click on “Forms”.
