It used to be that when an employer chooses to have a workers’ compensation hearing, they or their attorney must not only file an Application for Hearing, but also a Notice to Set the hearing on a form prescribed by the Office of Administrative Courts (OAC). The OAC recently dropped the requirement for a Notice to Set as a part of the Application for Hearing. For details about when and how a hearing can be set, refer to OAC Rule of Procedure 8.
