If an employee sustains an injury from which they do not completely recover, they are entitled to some payment of permanent partial disability. How much they can recover depends on when they were injured and what type of injury they sustained (i.e., extremity v. whole person). (See “PPD Statutory “Caps” section of this Glossary).
