Effective July 1, 1991, the Colorado State Legislature passed a comprehensive set of laws which substantially changed the workers’ compensation system in Colorado. These laws, taken together, are known as “Senate Bill 218”. Senate Bill 218 generally applies to injuries that occur on or after July 1, 1991.
